Welcome
Winners of the PASCH Competition 2020 in the USA
Announcing the winners of the 2020 PASCH Contest “Grenzen überwinden/Overcoming Boundaries”
Thanks to all teachers and students of our PASCH schools in the U.S. for their very good and appealing project ideas! You are awesome!
We reviewed all project ideas and are pleased to announce the following winners:
- Cony HS, Augusta, Maine, “Know no Boundaries: The Stories of Augusta´s immigrants”: Students will not only collect stories of immigrants to the Augusta region in Maine from various parts of the world, they will edit a book with those stories that will also be available for sale. All income will benefit Capital Area New Mainers Project in order to empowering and promoting the social and political inclusion of all of the members of the Augusta community as well as helping to ensure that all residents are seen as equals, with equal access to justice.
- Twin Cities German Immersion School, Saint Paul, Minnesota, “Immer sportlich Cross Country Invitational Meet”: This project will focus on sports as a means of overcoming physical and mental boundaries as well as overcoming boundaries within schools. The school and its students will organize a Cross Country event that they will repeat in the years to come! Truly overcoming boundaries of all sorts!
- Haddonfield Memorial High School, Haddonfield, NJ, “Die Mauern in unserem Kopf”: Teachers and students will not only focus on what can be felt as a – sometimes hard-felt obstacle - with their education: their High School diploma. They will also discuss division and boundaries within society on different levels. With their project they want people and society to think about their inner obstacles as well as possible socially and politically induced boundaries.
Congratulations to all of you!
