German Juilliard-Pianist Paulina Simkin and Metropolitan Opera Singer Carla Jablonski Revive the Tradition of a Social Salon at This Year’s Golden Fleece Gala at the Cosmopolitan Club
Juilliard-Pianist Paulina Simkin and MET-Singer Carla Jablonski love reviving the tradition of a social salon, where art meets music, dance and the joie de vivre in times when it is especially crucial for us all to connect, inspire and unite as one. They are excited to share their art at the Golden Fleece Gala held so suitably at the “Cosmopolitan Club” in New York on November 9 at 6:30pm. The Golden Fleece Gala is a yearly fundraising gala to benefit the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna. Their musical program for this special evening offers a colorful array of European classics and American favorites, as cosmopolitan as the venue and its guests. About the Artists: Paulina Simkin Award-winning pianist and actress Paulina Simkin is a trilingual (German, Russian, English) performer who brings a unique blend of cultural influences to her work. She loves surprising her audience with unique pairings of classical and non-classical pieces, the same way she loves adding comedy to her dramatic work and vice versa. Having performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Berliner Philharmonie she received her Master of Music at The Juilliard School, is a Fulbright Fellow and a Young Steinway Artist. Carla Jablonski Carla Jablonski is a Grammy nominated mezzo-soprano hailed by the New York Times as a “seasoned and multi-dimensional” performer whose vocal versatility has captivated audiences on the operatic, theater, concert stage and most recently the silver screen. This season marks her 8th year singing with The Metropolitan Opera. She has also sung featured roles with Florida Grand Opera, Opera Santa Barbara, Heartbeat Opera and Wolf Trap Opera among others. Solo concert credits include: Carnegie Hall, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, St. Luke’s Orchestra, The New York Philharmonic, New York Festival of Song and Caramoor Music Festival. Carla is a proud Drama Desk Award recipient and graduate of The Juilliard School (MM) and Manhattan School of Music (BM).
