The Quadrille Ball invites young professionals in New York City to meet new friends, learn a formal dance routine, and participate in an elegant event while supporting transatlantic scholarships, with rehearsals on Tuesday nights and the chance to socialize and build long-lasting friendships.
Looking for an unforgettable experience? The prestigious Quadrille Ball, held on February 8, 2025 at The Plaza Hotel, is seeking volunteers to join as dancers! This opportunity allows young professionals in New York City to be a part of one of the city’s most elegant events while supporting transatlantic scholarships. No prior dance experience is needed — dancers will come together weekly to learn the Quadrille, a lively, traditional performance that is the highlight of the Ball. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings on the Upper East Side, followed by social gatherings where participants can relax and build lasting friendships.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a young professional (21+)
- Available for Tuesday evening rehearsals at 7 PM
- Sociable and well-groomed
The season begins with a **Dancers' Reception** at the German Consulate, where candidates will meet the Ball Committee members, prospective dancers, and enjoy a live demonstration of the Quadrille dance. Don’t miss this chance to be part of a grand New York tradition while helping support scholarships for deserving students.
The Quadrille Ball is an annual white-tie charity event supporting the Germanistic Society of America's Scholarship Fund, which promotes educational exchanges between the U.S. and Germany. In recent years, it has also extended support to Ukrainian students needing financial assistance. The Quadrille dance is at the heart of the event, where the volunteer dancers with diverse international and professional backgrounds put on a beautiful performance. The night features fine dining, dancing, live music from a full orchestra, and a silent auction—all in support of transatlantic education.
