German American Chamber of Commerce

The German American Chamber of Commerce Houston office acts as a link between German and American businesses and works mainly with companies in the energy sector. Companies from all industries who have an interest in U.S. expansion, are invited to take advantage of their services.

Houston-Leipzig Sister City Association

The Houston-Leipzig Sister City Association has a long-standing in Houston and partners with city of Leipzig to promote German-American exchange. Houston-Leipzig is involved in many event in and around the City!

German Institute for the Southwest (GIS)

The German Institute for the Southwest (GIS) in Houston offers German language classes for adults and teenagers. Its main mission is to promote and advance the German culture and language in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

German Center Houston

The German Center Houston seeks to inform and promote German events in Houston. GCH also takes part in the creation and organization of German cultural programs in and around Houston.

Dallas Goethe Center

The Dallas Goethe Center is an institution dedicated to fostering German language and culture in North Texas. Founded in 1965, it serves the community by developing an appreciation and understanding of German art, drama, music, language, literature, and history, and cultivates mutual understanding.

The German Saturday School of Houston offers German classes for children ages 3 and up, as well as, for adults.

German International School Houston

The German International School Houston offers a unique German-English Dual Language Immersion Program for children starting at age 2+. The school is located in the heart of Houston. Bilingual- and multiculturalism are at the core of its curriculum.

German International School of Dallas

The German International School of Dallas is the only German language immersion program in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex providing full-time, weekday German language instruction to children 18 months to 6 years. The school provides a learning environment deeply rooted in the German culture.

The German School of Dallas

The German School of Dallas is an educational institution for students from kindergarten through high school and for adults on all levels. Offering a unique experience with native speaking teachers in small classes, their goal is to broaden the students’ appreciation and awareness of German culture.

Houston Saengerbund

The Houston Saengerbund, founded in 1883, is the oldest musical association in the city. The purpose of the Society is to cultivate the furtherance of song and music, to preserve the German language, to promote the Society's life and to convey good German customs and morals.

Houston Liederkranz

The Houston Liederkranz cultivates song and music in the German language. The Liederkranz sponsors annual events, specifically German traditions and holidays.

German Texan Heritage Society

GTHS is a cultural center that promotes the German language and perserves its cultural heritage in Texas through seasonal festivals. GTHS also offers the German Saturday School of Austin with language instruction for students between 3 and 14 years of age in Austin and San Antonio.

Deutsche Kirche Dallas

German Vicars Michael and Katharina Behrens have established a German language church service in the Dallas area called the Deutsche Kirche Dallas with community events like Tatort-Gottesdienst. Contact the Behrens via Christ Lutheran Church.

Deutsches Haus New Orleans

The Deutsches Haus in New Orleans is an organization with the mission to promote and celebrate the rich culture, musical heritage, language and history of the German people. The Oktoberfest and the Volksfest offer authentic German music, food and drinks, as well as activities for the children.
